Demand Creation

To meet the ambitious goal of achieving, and then maintaining, 80 percent prevalence of male circumcision in selected countries and regions, voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) programmes need willing, well-informed clients and support from family members, communities, health care providers, and decision makers.

Resources to help programmes create, support, and sustain demand for VMMC include guidance and tools for developing communication strategies, materials from VMMC campaigns, and promising examples of demand creation for VMMC in countries in eastern and southern Africa.
