Can New Technologies Improve Efficiency in VMMC and EIMC Scale-Up?

New VMMC devices have the potential to rapidly accelerate VMMC scale-up by making the procedure faster, simpler, and more acceptable. Organized by PSI, the Population Council, and FHI 360, this session provided updates from male circumcision device research and pilot implementation. Presentations by researchers from several African countries addressed new advances and their potential impact on HIV prevention programming. They included presentations on the latest clinical profiles and acceptability of male circumcision devices for performing adult and early infant male circumcision as well as other;operations research to increase efficiencies for rapid scale up.
