thumbnail_CDC_releases_VMMC_data

From 2010 through 2016, routine voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) programme data were collected from public health service delivery sites supported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 12 priority countries in southern and eastern Africa. Data were drawn from site-level VMMC client registers, collected by VMMC implementing partners, and reported to PEPFAR and CDC. The data set includes a spreadsheet showing VMMCs performed by country by year and another spreadsheet providing the country data disaggregated by categories such as client age, number of device-based VMMCs performed (2013-2016), and uptake of HIV testing among men receiving VMMC services. These data are available for download, subject to the use provisions detailed in the accompanying documentation. The data were released in conjunction with World AIDS Day; analyses of the data were published in 2013 and  2017.
