CareWorks focuses on social mobilisation and generating demand for voluntary medical male circumcision services provided by organisations supported by the US President’s Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief and at Department of Health clinics in South Africa. The organisation also operates a call centre that makes outbound calls to potential leads that are generated by medical male circumcision mobilisers working in both communities and workplaces. This case study is one of the promising practices in VMMC documented by BBC Media Action in 2013.
