The Centre for HIV/AIDS Prevention in South Africa

The Centre for HIV/AIDS Prevention Studies (CHAPS) is a leading service provider of voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) in South Africa. CHAPS works on multiple projects funded by the US Agency for International Development, The Global Fund, and France’s Agence Nationale de Recherhe sur le SIDA and provides technical support to national efforts to scale up high-volume VMMC sites. This case study is one of the promising practices in VMMC documented by BBC Media Action in 2013.
