The second chapter of the 2018 Manual for Male Circumcision under Local Anaethesia describes how voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) services can help improve health services for adolescent boys and men by offering additional services and providing effective referrals. Among the topics covered are the health interventions that should be linked to VMMC; how to ensure that referrals are successful; how to design person-centered, male-friendly services; the importance of addressing masculinity and gender-equitable norms; and how a VMMC services offers HIV education, testing, and referrals to prevention and care.
