thumbnail_MC_manual_2018_chapter_9

The ninth chapter of the 2018 Manual for Male Circumcision under Local Anaethesia provides step-by-step guidance, with photos and illustrations, on performing male circumcision using each of the three conventional methods of surgical circumcision for adolescent boys and men: forceps-guided, dorsal slit, and sleeve resection. It also describes the devices used for male circumcision, advising providers to consult the package insert, which will include the most up-to-date instructions on the use of a device. The guidance in this chapter is intended only for health care providers who have been trained to perform safe medical male circumcision.
