Researchers conducted a comparative cost analysis of early infant male circumcision (EIMC) performed by nurse-midwives and doctors using the AccuCirc device in Zimbabwe. Their results, published in a special supplement of the journal Global Health: Science and Practice, show that the EIMCs performed by nurse-midwives were safe and less costly per procedure than those performed by doctors.
