To project the resources needed to complete 4.3 million male circumcisions from 2010 to 2016, researchers estimated the unit cost of providing voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC); assessed cost drivers and cost variances across eight provinces and different modes of VMMC service delivery; and evaluated the costs associated with mobilising and motivating men and boys to access VMMC services. The results of the study are presented in a PLoS collection of VMMC modelling studies.
