The costs and impact of the adoption of voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) as an HIV prevention strategy in Zimbabwe are evaluated in this article in PLoS One. Mathematical models of HIV epidemic and programme evolution were calibrated to household survey data on HIV prevalence and risk behaviours.
