The multimedia Stand Proud, Get Circumcised Campaign was designed to increase uptake of safe medical circuThe Health Communication Partnership (HCP) worked with the Ugandan Ministry of Health and its partners to develop a multimedia demand creation campaign called "Stand Proud, Get Circumcised" to increase uptake of safe medical circumcision (SMC) services among young men ages 15 to 35 in areas where services were available. The key objectives of this campaign were to increase the proportion of young men and their parents who know the health benefits of and make informed decisions about SMC and to increase the proportion of young men who access SMC services. This case study is one of the promising practices in VMMC documented by BBC Media Action in 2013.
