The Clearninghouse on Male Circumcision for HIV Prevention is moving to the new Global HIV Prevention Coalition’s Resource Hub. All of our resources have been transferred to the GPC site, where additional VMMC resources will continue to be posted as part of the Adolescent Boys and Men pillar. This site will no longer be available beginning May 1, 2024.
A fact sheet from the Copenhagen Consensus Center identifies voluntary medical male circumcision for HIV prevention as one of the three best targets for reducing infectious diseases. It recommends attaining VMMC coverage of at least 90 percent among adult men in hyperendemic countries, which would return US$ 28 for every dollar spent.
