Male Adolescent Circumcision for HIV Prevention and as an Entry Point for Sexual and Reproductive Health

The Catholic Medical Mission Board, with the technical and financial support of the World Health Organization (WHO) and in collaboration with WHO, UNAIDS, UNICEF, and UNFPA, convened 70 stakeholders from Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Zambia, including representatives of faith-based organisations (FBOs), to discuss lessons learned and model strategies for increasing FBO involvement in male circumcision for HIV prevention. A joint statement that the participants produced on the role of FBOs in providing safe male circumcision services is included in the meeting report.
