NASCOP and MCC National and Provincial Coordination in Kenya

NASCOP and MCC National and Provincial Coordination in Kenya

The National AIDS & STI Control Programme (NASCOP) convenes quarterly meetings of national and provincial task forces that bring together all of the implementing partners in the voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) programme to coordinate their efforts and plan join initiatives. Leading implementers participate in subcommittee working groups on a range of technical issues at both the national and provincial levels. The Male Circumcision Consortium (MCC) provides technical support to NASCOP to enhance coordination and quality assurance. This case study is one of the promising practices in VMMC documented by BBC Media Action in 2013.
