
For this study published in AIDS Care, high-risk, heterosexual couples were followed for two years in the Partners Demonstration Project that involved integrated pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and antiretroviral therapy (ART). Safer conception strategies recognised most by HIV-positive women who desired children were PrEP, antiretroviral therapy, timed condomless sex, and self-insemination; recognised least were male circumcision and treatment of sexually transmitted infections..
