Researchers conducted a case series of male circumcision using the no-flip ShangRing technique, as well as a randomised controlled trial of removal after seven days versus spontaneous detachment of the ShangRing device. Results pertaining to the safety of the no-flip technique and the clinical course and safety of spontaneous detachment are described in an article in the Asian Journal of Andrology.
