This document provides a description of a study based on the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) VMMC data, which are available for download on the Clearinghouse; definitions of terms used in the CDC data set; a statement on data use that includes prohibitions against attempts to identify the subjects of any of the records; a checklist used for assuring the quality of the data; and the procedures used for data transformation. The data were collected from 2010 to 2016 at public health service delivery sites supported by the CDC in 12 priority countries in southern and eastern Africa.
