Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Among Adolescents: A Missed Opportunity for HIV Behavioral Interventions

In three African countries, male adolescents and providers of voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) were interviewed about HIV prevention counselling, testing, and disclosure of results in the context of adolescent VMMC counselling. This article in the journal AIDS discusses the results and concludes that VMMC counselling appears to be a missed opportunity to reach adolescents with HIV prevention messages.
