In June 2018, the Government of Zimbabwe celebrated two important milestones: reaching 1 million men with voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) services and launching a strategy for providing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) against HIV. This press release from the World Health Organization emphasises the critical role of VMMC in reaching global targets for reducing new HIV infections by 2030 and the need to sustain and build on the progress to date.
