Voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) for HIV prevention was highlighted in three presentations and 32 abstracts at the 22nd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2018) in Amsterdam from 23 to 27 July 2018.
VMMC successes were celebrated in a 25 July plenary presentation on differentiated models of care (see WEPL0108, slide 16). Other sessions that addressed VMMC include a 21 July preconference session on demand creation for HIV prevention, a 22 July satellite session on household surveys, and a 23 July plenary session on research implementation. Links to the slides for many of the oral presentations can be found on the pages for the sessions in which they were presented.
