The tenth chapter of the 2018 Manual for Male Circumcision under Local Anaethesia addresses postoperative care and management of any complications or other adverse events during or after male circumcision. It includes information about immediate postprocedure monitoring; emergency and unscheduled follow-up; routine follow-up at 48–72 hours, seven days, and six weeks; follow-up education and counselling; considerations for younger adolescent boys; considerations for clients who have device-based procedures; and guidance on managing adverse events.
