The Clearninghouse on Male Circumcision for HIV Prevention is moving to the new Global HIV Prevention Coalition’s Resource Hub. The purpose of external quality asssessment (EQA) is to rapidly gain a comprehensive objective assessment of VMMC program quality. The following tools are updated versions of instruments used by PEPFAR implementing agencies and most content remains similar to previous iterations that are currently in wide circulation. Organized into Tools A through J along with a descriptive site characteristics tool, each instrument focuses on a specific topic in VMMC service delivery or demand creation. The tools are not ranked in order of importance.

This Tool (F) aims to objectively assess resources and activities related to:

Facilities and supplies, screening patients and preparation for surgery
Surgical procedures for adults and adolescents
Postoperative care and management of complications
Prevention of infection
