Global Health e-Learning Course - Male Circumcision: Policy & Programming

The purpose of this course is to provide health policy makers and programme managers with an overview of scientific evidence of male circumcision's protective effect against HIV transmission, examine the acceptability and safety of voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC), consider challenges to VMMC programme implementation, and provide policy and programme guidance. This course focuses on public health issues with a brief overview of surgical techniques. It concentrates on the delivery of VMMC services to adult and adolescent populations in settings with high HIV prevalence and low rates of male circumcision. This e-learning course is included in the PEPFAR guide to best practices for VMMC site operations.
