Guidance on Provider-Initiated HIV Testing and Counseling (PITC)

Developed in response to a growing need at the country level for basic operational guidance on provider-initiated HIV testing and counselling in health facilities, this document is intended for a wide audience including policymakers, HIV/AIDS programme planners and coordinators, health-care providers, nongovernmental organizations providing HIV/AIDS services, and civil society groups. It is included in the PEPFAR guide to best practices for voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) site operations.
