An analysis conducted using the Decision Makers’ Program Planning Toolkit (Version 2) assessed the likelihood of increasing the percentage of men and boys ages 10 to 29 who are circumcised to 90 percent by 2021 in nine selected countries. The results of the analysis are presented along with conclusions about their implications for VMMC programmes in Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. The article appears in a special supplement to the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases about improving VMMC services for adolescents.
