The Clearninghouse on Male Circumcision for HIV Prevention is moving to the new Global HIV Prevention Coalition’s Resource Hub. All of our resources have been transferred to the GPC site, where additional VMMC resources will continue to be posted as part of the Adolescent Boys and Men pillar. This site will no longer be available beginning May 1, 2024.
This standard operating procedure summarizes essential skin preparation responsibilities for clients, providers, and assistants to reduce the risk of infection, including infection causing tetanus, following voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC). It is one of three infection prevention resources developed by Project IQ for VMMC providers and clients.
