After two assessments revealed barriers to uptake of voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) among men ages 15–29, AIDSFree Malawi trained peer community mobilisers on interpersonal communication and provided them with materials addressing myths, misconceptions, and frequently asked questions. Half of the mobilisers were satisfied clients of VMMC services. This case study is one of 11 on enhancing uptake of VMMC that were selected for inclusion in an annex of the World Health Organization’s 2020 VMMC guidelines.
