The Clearninghouse on Male Circumcision for HIV Prevention is moving to the new Global HIV Prevention Coalition’s Resource Hub. All of our resources have been transferred to the GPC site, where additional VMMC resources will continue to be posted as part of the Adolescent Boys and Men pillar. This site will no longer be available beginning May 1, 2024.

Project IQ created these three resources to help clients, providers, and assistants reduce the risk of infection, including infection causing tetanus, after voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC): a standard operating procedure (SOP) for skin preparation before VMMC, developed with input from the World Health Organization; a job aid to assist providers in following the SOP; and a handout for VMMC clients on steps they can take at home to prevent tetanus.
Part of the Project IQ webinar series, this 2016 webinar examined efforts by voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) programmes supported by the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to make it a priority to reach clients ages 15–29.
